Description

"This small fragmentary relief, of great quality, shows a young woman, probably of high social level. She is seated in oriental fashion in front of a table loaded with fish, loaves of bread and fruit. She turns the spindle with her right hand and holds the thread with her left hand, while a servant moves a large oblong fan" - Louvre
