The source of the Israelite water system (Hazor)

The tunnel is directed westwards towards the water level within the precincts of the Tell. Its dimensions and direction indicate the soundness of the geological knowledge possessed by the Israelite engineers. Hazor was an ancient Canaanite and Israelite city located in the north of modern day Israel. Recent archaeological excavations have revealed how important this city was in antiquity.
