Pelaiah in the Bible Encyclopedia - ISBE

pe-la'-ya, pe-li'-a (pela'yah): (1) A son of Elioenai, of the royal house of Judah (1 Ch 3:24). (2) A Levite who assisted Ezra by expounding the Law (Neh 8:7), and was one of those who sealed the covenant with Nehemiah (10:10). He is called "Phalias" in 1 Esdras 9:48 (Revised Version).
