Menua in Wikipedia
Menua was the fifth known King of Urartu, an ancient country in the Armenian Highlands, from circa 810 BC to approximately 785 BC.
A younger son of the preceding Urartuan King, Ishpuinis, Menua was adopted as co-ruler by his father in the last years of his reign. Menua enlarged the kingdom greatly in numerous wars against the neighbouring countries and left a large number of inscriptions over a wide area. He established the outlines of the empire, and organized the centralized administrative structure, fortified a number of cities and founded fortresses, amongst them was Menuakhinil, located on Mount Ararat. Menua heavily developed a canal and irrigation system that stretched across the kingdom. Several of theses canal are still in use today.
He was succeeded by his son, Argishtis I.
