Jesus Garments Became White As Light

Matthew 17:2 - He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light. While describing the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ Matthew said that his "garments became as white as the light." The glory of God was shining through Jesus Christ so that his clothing was so bright that it could only be described as light or as a flash of lightning (Luke 9:29). In the gospel of Mark he said that his clothing was glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them (Mark 9:3). They saw the glory of Jesus Christ that will be revealed when he returns to this earth.
