According to the Bible Esau was Isaac and Rebekkas firstborn son, and he had a twin brother named Jacob. His name means hairy because he was that way when he was born and throughout his life. Esau married Canaanite women and his family is listed above. Their territory was the land of Edom and they were always contending against Israel through their history.
