1. Descendant (as "son" must mean in 1 Chronicles 4:1) of Judah: father of Achan. the "troubler of Israel" (Joshua 7:1; Joshua 7:18; 1 Chronicles 2:7); son of Zabdi or Zimri. 2. Reuben's fourth son; forefather of "the Carmites" (Genesis 46:9; Numbers 26:6).
