Canaanite palace (Hazor)

An aerial view of Area A from the West. The Canaanite palace is at the bottom of the picture. The six-chambered "Solomonic Gate" is visible at the top left of the picture. The picture was taken at the end of excavations in 1996. Hazor was an ancient Canaanite and Israelite city located in the north of modern day Israel.
