Ancient Cymbals

Cymbals were used in Biblical times to praise the Lord. In the above sketch an Assyrian musician is shown playing a cymbal. The cymbal made a loud noise by clanging two brass bowls against each other making a rhythm. Cymbal players were often seen with a company of musicians during processions.
