The bold promontory which forms the bay of Acre, 1500 feet high, separating Sharon from Esdraelon. Familiar by histories of Elijah and Elisha, Isa. 35:2 ; 33:9 ; 2 Kings 2:25 ; 4:25 ; 1 Kings 18.
