Anat-Her in Wikipedia
Anat-her was a ruler of the Hyksos Sixteenth dynasty of Egypt around 1600 BCE during what is often
referred to as the Second Intermediate Period.
The 15th dynasty is one of the shadowiest in Egyptian history and probably does not represent actual
rulers of Egypt proper. Anather's name has not been found represented within a cartouche and there
is no evidence, therefore, that he reigned as pharaoh. Most likely he was a princeling under the
authority of the 15th dynasty at Avaris.
His name, meaning 'Anath is content' refers to the Semitic goddess which affirms his non-Egyptian
heritage. It is sometimes accompanied by the title 'heka kha-swt' meaning 'ruler of the desert
lands'; perhaps a reference to the slice of territory under his control.
