(whom Jehovah distinguishes). 1. A descendant of David. 1 Chr 3:24. 2. A Levite who assisted Ezra in expounding the Law, Neh 8:7, and sealed the covenant with Nehemiah, Neh 10:10; called Biatas in 1 Esd. 9:48.
