What is Golan?
        GO'LAN
        (circle), one of the six cities of refuge in Manasseh given to the Levites. It was in Bashan, and the most northerly of the three cities of refuge east of the Jordan. Deut 4:43; Josh 20:8; Josh 21:27; 1 Chr 6:71. It was possibly 10 or 12 miles north-east of the Sea of Galilee, in the centre of Gaulanitis; some suggest Nawa as the site of Golan.
