Who is Esarhaddon?
        E'SAR-HAD'DON
        , son and successor of Sennacherib, king of Assyria, and one of the greatest of her kings. 2 Kgs 19:37. He is the only Assyrian monarch who actually ruled in Babylon. He was the builder of magnificent structures, including 3 palaces and 30 temples. His reign extended from b.c. 680 to 667, and during it Manasseh, the king of Judah, was taken prisoner by his captains and carried before him at Babylon, and kept a captive for some time. 2 Chr 33:11.
