What is a Charger?
        CHAR'GER
        (old English, from the French charger), that on which a thing is laid, a dish. Num 7:13; Ezr 1:9; Matt 14:8, Rev 1:11. A shallow bowl or basin used for receiving the blood at the preparation of the sacrifices. The charger in which Herod's daughter brought the head of John Baptist was probably a trencher or platter.
