1. Baal's priest slain by Jehoiada "before the altars "judicially, at the reformation after Athaliah's idolatrous reign (2 Kings 11:18; 2 Chronicles 23:17). She probably had brought him from Samaria to introduce the Baal worship of her father Ahab into the court of Jehoram her husband, Jehoshaphat's son (2 Chronicles 21:6; 2 Chronicles 21:13). 2.
