Heshmon (Joshua 15:27), an "uttermost city of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward," like Kedesh outside the natural frontier of Israel, in the extreme N. of the desert. At Ain Hasb, N.W. of the Arabah, is a pool still of sweet living water, surrounded by verdure, and with traces of ruins (Robinson, Biblical Research, 2:119).
