(double mound), a fortified city built by Rehoboam, #2Ch 11:9| in Judah. Adoraim is probably the same place with Adora, 1Ma 13:20 unless that be Dor, on the seacoast below Carmel. Robinson identifies it with Dura, a "large village" on a rising ground west of Hebron.

ADORA'IM (double mound), a city of Judah fortified by Rehoboam, 2 Chr 11:9; supposed to be the modern Dura, about 6 miles west of Hebron.

A fortress built by Rehoboam in Judah (2 Chronicles 11:9). Probably now Dura, a large village on a rising ground W. of Hebron.
