        see IMNAH , Numbers 26:44. JIPHTAHA city of Judah, in the shephelah, or low maritime hills of Judah (Joshua 15:43). Its meaning "it opens" points to a site at the opening of the hills to the plain. Now Batihah in the Ghuzzeh (Gaza) province (Robinson).
