BEROTHAI or BEROTHAH. In Ezekiel 47:16 connected with Hamath and Damascus, as the northern boundary of the future inheritance of restored Israel. Possibly identical with Berytus, now the commercial mart Beirut, called from the wells, Beeroth, still seen, bored in the rocks at Beirut. In the parallel (1 Chronicles 18:8) "Chun" is substituted.
