ANOINTING, TYPIFIED

Exodus 40:13-15

13. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

14. And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

15. And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their ANOINTING shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

Leviticus 8:12

12. And he poured of the ANOINTING oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

1 Samuel 16:13

13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

1 Kings 19:16

16. And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
