Almodad
        

First of Joktan's descendents (Genesis 10:26; 1 Chronicles 1:20). His name is preserved in El-Mudad, famous in Arab history, reputed father of Ishmael's Arab wife, Mir-at-ez-Zeman, and chief of Jarhum, a Joktanite tribe that passed from Yemen to the vicinity of Mekkeh. The Al is the Arabic article.
