Naarath
(juvenile) (the Hebrew is equivalent to Naarah, which is therefore the real form of the name), a place named Jos 16:7 only as one of the landmarks on the southern boundary of Ephraim. It appears to have lain between Ataroth and Jericho, in the Jordan valley: Eusebius and Jerome speak of it as if well known to them --"Naorath, a small village of the Jews, five miles from Jericho."
