Jo-anna
(grace or gift of God) (in Revised Version spelled JOANAN).
        1. Son of Rhesa, according to the text of Lu 3:27 and one of the ancestors of Christ; but according to the view explained in a previous article, son of Zerubbabel, and the same as HANANIAH in
        1Ch 3:19
        2. The name of a woman, occurring twice in Lu 8:3; 24:10 but evidently denoting the same person, (A.D. 28-30.) In the first passage she is expressly stated to have been "wife of Chuza, steward of Herod," that is, Antipas, tetrarch of Galilee.
