Eshcol, The valley
        or The brook of, a wady in the neighborhood of Hebron (Mamre), explored by the spies who were sent by Moses from Kadesh-barnea. Nu 13:23,24; De 1:24 The name is still attached to a spring of fine water called 'Ain Eshkali, in a valley about two miles north of Hebron.
