What is Zareth-shahar?
        ZA'RETH-SHA'HAR
        (splendour of the dawn), a city in Reuben, on a hill in a valley. Josh 13:19. About a mile and a half east of the Dead Sea, near the mouth of the Wady Zerka Main, is a place called Zara, or Sara, a heap of stones in a little green plain, which may mark the site.
