Who is Zachariah?
ZACHARI'AH
(remembered by Jehovah). The name is the same in Hebrew as Zechariah, which also see. 1. Son and successor of Jeroboam II., king of Israel, and the last of the house of Jehu. 2 Kgs 14:29. He reigned only six months, and then fell by the hand of Shallum, who took the throne. 2 Kgs 15:8-11; comp. Am 7:9. 2. The father of Abi or Abijah, King Hezekiah's mother, 2 Kgs 18:2; called Zechariah in 2 Chr 29:1.
