What is the Lords day?
        LORD'S DAY
, Rev 1:10. From the times of the apostles the first day of the week was kept sacred by the Christians in commemoration of the resurrection of Christ, and it is invariably designated as the Lord's day by the Fathers of the primitive Church up to the time of the edict of Constantino (321), when the name Sunday became common. See Sabbath.
