No Room for Them in the Inn
The Bible records that when they arrived in Bethlehem the Inn was full and there was no room for them. Mary was ready to give birth and was brought quickly to a stable for animals where she gave birth to Jesus. She wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, a feeding trough in a stable for animals within the city of Bethlehem. The Bible does not record all of the details, but the King of glory, the creator of all things entered our world in the most humblest of places. The Bible says that Mary brought forth her firstborn son, and Joseph called his name Jesus.
"And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." - Luke 2:6-7
