3. The Siege of Jerusalem
The Babylonian Armies laid Siege to Jerusalem
2 Kings 24:20 "For because of the anger of the LORD this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, that He finally cast them out from His presence."
Next was Jerusalem, In 589 B.C. the Babylonians quickly attacked the city walls. The heaviest battering rams and siege equipment were brought up. The city proved to be too strong to be taken by open assault, so a series of fortifications was erected in a ring about it, and the terrible siege dragged on for months.
