The Syrian League

The King of Israel Joins with the King of Syria

About this time in Damascus, the Syrian king Rezin organized a resistance through a defensive league of countries. It was a reorganization of an old confederation called "The Syrian League," which had resisted Assyrian invasions in the past (853 B.C.). Every country in the area joined the league, including Israel.
