Ancient Map
This ancient tablet from the 7th Century BC depicts a plan
of the world at the time of Sargon (2300 BC) as a circle
surrounded by oceans, with Babylon and the River
Euphrates at its center. The distant mountainous areas
beyond the seas, as well as Assyria and the swamps
at the mouth of the Euphrates being shown.
